The Belalp Witches' Descent is a popular ski race held during a week in January at the Blatten-Belalp ski station in Valais. The highlight is the main descent on Saturday, a legendary 12 km run with 1,800 m elevation loss. Participants can register as racers or costumed witches. This event combines sport, tradition, and mystical atmosphere for over 40 years.
