The Hexenabfahrt is a popular ski race held over a week in January at Belalp (Valais), reaching its climax on Saturday with the main race. Participants descend 12 km from Hohstock (3,100m) to Blatten (1,300m) in festive witch costumes or competition gear. This cult event blends intense sport, alpine tradition and festive atmosphere, attracting recreational and professional skiers from across Switzerland.
