The Hexenabfahrt is a 12 km ski race and Wallisian tradition for over 43 years. This winter event takes place on Belalp with a start at 3'100 m and finish in Blatten (1'300 m), offering 1'800 m of elevation loss. Two categories: 'Rennfahrer' (serious skiers) and 'Hexen' (costumed witch participants with skis or snowboards). The event is part of a full week of festivities including 'Witches Nights' and 'Hexen-Kinderfest'.
