This famous popular ski race takes place every January in the heart of the Valais. The Blatten-Belalp ski station comes alive for a week around the witches' theme, culminating with the great Hexenabfahrt on Saturday. With its 12 km descent and 1 800 m elevation loss from Hohstock (3 118 m) to Blatten (1 322 m), this traditional race combines competitive skiing with a festive atmosphere, featuring various participant categories and an extensive side program including Witch Nights and the Children's Witch Festival.
