The Hexenabfahrt is a popular ski race held every January in Belalp-Blatten (Valais). The highlight of the week-long Belalp Hexe event is Saturday's main race, a 12 km downhill with 1800 m elevation loss from Hohstock to Blatten. The week features additional races, Witches Nights, and a children's witches' festival. The event blends mountain sport with local Walliser tradition rooted in an old witch legend.
