The Hexenabfahrt is a popular ski race held every January at Belalp for over 43 years. This unique event combines an ancient Walliser tradition centered around a legendary witch with spectacular ski competitions. Throughout the week, various races, festive Witches Nights events, and a children's festival take place. Participants can compete as professional skiers or in costumed witch groups, descending 1800 meters of elevation gain on a 12 km course.
