The Belalp Hexe is an Alpine tradition spanning one week in January, transforming the ski resort into a festive celebration around the witch theme. The event culminates on Saturday with the spectacular Hexenabfahrt, a 12 km ski descent from 3100 m altitude with 1800 m of vertical drop. Throughout the week, participants and spectators enjoy various races, Witches Nights, and the family-friendly Hexen-Kinderfest. Inspired by an ancient Valais legend, this tradition dates back over 43 years and blends sporting competition with a mystical atmosphere.
