About
The Hexenabfahrt is a popular ski race held every January in Belalp, Valais. An entire week is dedicated to the witches theme with multiple races, Witches Nights, and a Kids' Festival. The main race starts at Hohstock (3,118 m) and descends to Blatten (1,322 m) over 12 km and 1,800 m of elevation loss, with two categories: competitive skiers and costumed participants. A festive and traditional atmosphere unique to the Valais Alps for over 40 years.
