About
The Hexenabfahrt is a popular ski race held over a week in January at Belalp-Blatten. It celebrates an old Valais witch legend and combines sport and tradition since 1983. The highlight is Saturday with a 12 km descent and 1'800 m of vertical drop from Hohstock (3'118 m) to the finish in Blatten (1'322 m). The program includes various ski races, « Witch Nights », a children's festival, and participation from racers and costumed witch groups.
