Witch's Descent

The Belalp Hexe is a week-long event in January centered on the witch theme. The highlight is the Hexenabfahrt (witches' descent) on Saturday, a 12 km ski race with 1,800 m of vertical drop. The week features additional races and entertainment activities (Witches Nights, Hexen-Kinderfest). The popular ski event has been held in Valais since 1983.
