The festival

Rock Oz'Arènes is a music festival held in Avenches, in the canton of Vaud. The 30th edition marked a significant milestone, as it was the last one to take place in the local arena before a renovation project. The 2022 edition faced a notable change when the band Placebo cancelled its appearance, scheduled for August 13, due to serious family reasons. The festival team expressed support for the band and worked to find a replacement, while still aiming to celebrate the anniversary edition with its characteristic spirit. The event also introduced a special anniversary symbol: a colorful hat sold to support the festival's future, with proceeds going toward a project called 'Extra Muros' for 2023, planned for a site in the region that was kept secret at the time. The festival's logo was revealed through a triptych of three posters, representing three particular years and three decades of the event's history. Photos from the 30th edition were made available, and the festival thanked its volunteers, artists, and attendees for their role in creating memorable concerts.

Getting there, on site

The festival site operates as a cash-free event. All payments for bars, stands, and merchandise are made exclusively by payment card or TWINT. Tickets for the 2022 edition were subject to the general terms and conditions, which stated that tickets could not be exchanged or refunded, even in the case of a band's modification or cancellation.
