The festival
Moon&Stars is a music festival held in Locarno, in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland. The event takes place over eleven days in July, transforming the town's main square, the Piazza Grande, into a large concert venue. The festival features a mix of international and local acts, with a lineup that spans various genres. In its most recent edition, the festival hosted 26 concerts by top-tier artists on the main stage, alongside over 70 free concerts, and involved more than 500 volunteers. The event attracted 165,000 visitors, underscoring its scale and popularity.
The program is structured as a series of evening concerts, with a different headliner or set of performers each night. The lineup for the 2026 edition includes a diverse range of artists, from pop and rock to electronic and folk.
