About
Vanessa Onwuemezi, a remarkable British author and distinctive new voice in contemporary literature, made her debut in 2021 with the short story collection Dark Neighbourhood. With powerful and bold language, she captures moments of extraordinary intensity. She rarely explains; she prefers to focus on the moment, the sound and the unfamiliar. Vanessa Onwuemezi and Ana Sobral discuss writing and Onwuemezi's idiosyncratic approach to language, rhythms and forms. In English.
