About
The British author Vanessa Onwuemezi is a remarkable new voice in contemporary literature. She made her debut in 2021 with the short story collection Dark Neighbourhood. With powerful and bold language, she prefers to focus on the moment, the sound and the unfamiliar. Vanessa Onwuemezi and Ana Sobral discuss Onwuemezi's idiosyncratic approach to language, rhythms and forms, and how prose can become a physical experience.
