Vanessa Onwuemezi: Dark Neighbourhood

About

British author Vanessa Onwuemezi is a remarkable new voice in contemporary literature. With powerful and bold language, she rarely explains; instead she focuses on the moment, the sound and the unfamiliar. Onwuemezi demonstrates an idiosyncratic approach to language, rhythms and forms, showing how prose can become a physical experience.
