About
British author Vanessa Onwuemezi is a remarkable new voice in contemporary literature. She made her debut in 2021 with the short story collection Dark Neighbourhood. With powerful and bold language, Onwuemezi focuses on the moment, the sound and the unfamiliar. Taking Dark Neighbourhood as their starting point, Vanessa Onwuemezi and Ana Sobral discuss writing and Onwuemezi's idiosyncratic approach to language, rhythms and forms.
