About
Vanessa Onwuemezi, a remarkable new voice in contemporary literature, debuted in 2021 with the short story collection Dark Neighbourhood. Her language is powerful and bold, focusing on the moment, sound and the unfamiliar. With Ana Sobral, Onwuemezi discusses her idiosyncratic approach to language, rhythms and forms, transforming prose into a bodily experience.
