Since 2011, the Christmas market on Münsterplatz has been a highlight of Basel's Advent season: a magnificently decorated Christmas tree welcomes visitors in front of the cathedral. Beneath trees adorned with glowing snow globes, the stalls offer a wide range of goods, food and drinks. Open daily from 11 am to 8.30 pm (23 Dec until 6 pm).
