Karosh Taha tells the story of Gulistan, a woman confronting powerlessness, especially after her husband Çîya disappears under Saddam Hussein's regime in Iraq. Arrested and threatened by police, Gulistan embarks alone on a search that reveals the brutality of the dictatorial regime. With poetic language opening new spaces, Taha depicts violence, torture and rape unsparing, while highlighting the growing will to resist.
