About
The narrator spends her time in Paris on a quest: to find her friend's lost cat and above all to find Gertrude Stein. She is supposed to write an essay about the writer but keeps getting stuck. The novel interweaves content and form remarkably, applying Stein's style to reflect on the present with her characteristic intelligence.
