About
The narrator spends her time in Paris on a quest: to find her friend's lost cat, but above all to find Gertrude Stein. She is supposed to write an essay about the iconic writer, but keeps getting stuck. Her true engagement with Stein ultimately takes place through language itself. The novel achieves a unique interweaving of content and form, reviving Stein's style and thought in practice.
