This exhibition 'Courageous, Defiant, Self-Determined' chronicles Nidwalden's historical resistance to Switzerland's pressure to conform during the 19th century. The mountain canton repeatedly rejected national reforms before eventually joining the federal state. A tribute to Nidwalden's distinctive identity and fierce independence.
