About
Nidwalden repeatedly resisted the pressure to adapt exerted by the rest of Switzerland on the mountain canton in the first half of the 19th century. Nidwalden rejected all national constitutions and compromises. This exhibition at the Nidwaldner Museum Salzmagazin traces the canton's particular path to modernity, between resistance and openness.
