About
This exhibition traces how Nidwalden resisted the pressure to conform exerted by the rest of Switzerland in the first half of the 19th century. The alpine canton repeatedly rejected national projects, asserting its own identity. A historical journey through the story of a proud and self-determined canton, presented at the Nidwaldner Museum Salzmagazin in Stans.
